Hi Guys, relative newbie to the site. Just bought a 320 with factory fitted m-tech 2 kit and i love the car bits.
Got a couple of questions with regards to maintenance / replacement parts. The car shows 4 green service lights so not intrsted i service just yet but what costs am i lookinh at roughly for a full service?
Secondly the clutch biting point is very high and i fear this may mean the clutch does'nt have a great deal of life left in it. How much am i looking at for a new clutch and fitting?
Lastly there is a slight wuring type noise coming from the rar when driving. I' hoping it might just be a disk / pad binding very slightly or maybe a dry cv joint. Any common problems it could be or any other ideas?
Thanks in advance
Ashley

first off the service lights are not necessarily an accurate indicator of the requirements for a service they are often reset without the required servicing especially prior to sale so I would go on mileage since the last service assuming you have history. A full service with a BMW specialist will be about £200 as for a clutch the kits cost about £100 and to fit I would guess about £250 on top with VAT.
Think BMW recommended cambelt change is...
"Replace camshaft timing belt every other Inspection 2 or 50K miles."
But as pnd said i would do it @ 30K to be on the safe side.

Hi If I were you I think I would be starting with a full service ie cambelt, water pump, tensioner and oils/filters etc if you are doing the work yourself. That way you know it is all done and then you can start on the other things.

Thanks guys, i think for peace of mind i'll get that lot done.
Is it likely the clutch is on its way out if the biting point is very high? It doesn't seem to be slipping or crunching but a slight concern if its going to be a costly job.
