It is, but try and avoid using it too often. Washing up liquid has a lot of salt in it, and we all know how salt and E30's get along

I wouldn't touch it with a barge pole. It is loaded with salt and as it's a soft soap, won't strip the wax off like you want it to either.

Get some Traffic Film Remover (TFR) from eBay. Buy the concetrated stuff and use it carefully. Use marigolds when washing the car down (using the weakest strength recomended) cos it'll strip your hands as well! The stronger you mix it the heavier duty it becomes. Spray it (using a hand pump spray) in medium strength under your wheel arches and then use a pressure washer!!!! Then admire your back to new arches.

sealants may need isopropyl alcohol wipe down

use it only when you wish to remove previous products before application of different ones

ie to not get compatibility issues

for example zaino only likes clean product free paint or its self to adhere to.

to be fair fairy liquid is far kinder than a majority of the cheap car washes that are sold

Know what you mean though. I did the door shuts on a radiant red escort when I first started using the stuff about 12 years ago. I ended up having to do all the sills with the same mix to take away the stripes!!!

Use it as weak as you can to start with. Gradually you'll get a feel for how strong you can go for what purpose.

I bought 25litres of unmixed TFR from eBay for about £20 inc delivery. That'll last me years.

The truck cleaner was off sick and it was a quiet day, they gave me one of those hand pump spray things and a bottle of TFR and told me to spray it on then jet wash it off...

Nobody said to me to do it bit by bit, dilute it and spray it off instantly...

I covered the whole truck in it, had a fag, got the pressure washer out, had another fag... then washed it off. OOPS!

Didnt get sacked, but they never asked me to clean anything again.

Apparently it was about 10k worth of wine

Thank god they had insurance or I would have been f*cked!

Apart from those two incidences and one small one where I managed to beach the truck while trying to jump it... I was a damn good reach lift driver.

Yes it will strip wax from your car if used in the correct dilution quantity. I work for Procter and Gamble who make this stuff.
In the making of it a very nasty acid is used to react some substances together before the final mix.

The acid used is called "chlorosulphonic acid" which is highly reactive with water in its raw state. Obviously this becomes inert after the reaction , and does not exist in the finished product.

yes but you wouldnt wash the carwith fairy liquid if you wasnt going to re-polish the car and wax it though.
