so true..

Though I think thats the first time I've actually seen your engine... Fits in quite neatly really.

Was it much work to get it in? Must have been some loom chopping etc and custom manifolds etc I assume but did any metalwork need to be 'moved' to make it fit?

(sorry for thread hijack lol)

Here's mine I have done it twice
Sanchez Cleaned mine up and painted it with the engine in but the only way to do it properly is to take the engine out.
Image
It looked really good but it was not good enough for me so took the engine out stripped all the paint off and rubbed it all down and redone it looks like this now.Just needs a couple coats of clear

Wire wool and Autosol metal polish. The light makes it look a bit shiny than it actually is.

first time i've ever cleaned an engine bay.

tbh i'd rather be out driving it than cleaning something you hardly ever see

quite pleased, although it has highlighted several bits and bobs that need tidying and painting!

autoglym engine/machine cleaner, a couple of brushes and a hose, repeated twice. which got the worst of the crap off, but it still looked grubby, as if the entire engine had been lacquered at some point in the past to make it look clean :? anyway, that all went yellow and crusty so went over the worst bits with some celulose thinners and a brush (being extra carefull not to get it on the paint) before rinsing again, letting it dry, then giving the plastics a spray with some autoglym tyre shine spray, wiping off any excess.

should have taken some 'before' pics really, as it was pretty grubby
cheers,

harry
