E30 Zone and Amazing E30 on Discovery Turbo Channel...!

I think most of you will think Im quite sad for saying this, but I was very proud to be an onwer of an E30 when i saw that Discovery Turbo were doing a show on it.

Had a minter of a 325i Toruing on it, Silver, with 17" Alpina's, Scorpion System and the works, amazingly restored.

They also mentioned the zone explicitly,which i thought was superb, wouldnt hear that about the 'gti forum' or whoever.

I think its more than safe to say..........we all own some amazinlgy inspired vehicles......timeless clasics

I own the silver touring from wheeler dealers, it had the scorpian (still has) and did have 17" alpina copies on it.

If anybody wants it I can send you a CD with the 2 episodes on it (for the price of the postage).

I saw the repeat on discovery turbo this afternoon.

Not the one they bodged up - the nice one they show you which belongs to someone else. Think there is a nasty story about that silver Touring being sold to another zone member and it turned out it needed a sh1t load of money spent on it. Can't remember the exact details (possibly knackered cylinder head or something).

Actually most of you are right, it was in fact Wheelers Dealers, didnt know it was old, damn that Sky they use so many repeats........well i did record it on Sky+

I do think though that Ed China does sometimes cut corners, but dont we all!!

Apparently when Gareth(Gazza325cab) bought it from steve(the guy on wheeler dealers) it had several problems including a cracked cylinder head and bald tyres, Gareth spent a fortune rectifying these problems.

I bought it from Gareth at the end of March and have since fitted:

2.7 engine
Lightened flywheel
BTB fannymold
15" BBS alloys
Smoked hella's
iS front lip
Cruise control
Koni adjustable shocks
H&R springs
H&R adjustable anti-roll bars

I've also got the aircon working properly on the new type refrigerant and fettled a few other little niggles like the rear washer. The front valance had received a whack of some sort and was pretty badly repaired, it's been removed and straightened out by Beardymat and has been resprayed by myself.

I've still got to sort the saggy headlining and replace the NSF wing which has been damaged, she'll be as mint as mint can be then.
