Then will M54B30 crank, rods and pistons fit directly into the M50? This theoretically should give a Bore / stroke of 84mm/89.6mm the same as M54B30. ie iron block 3.0L?

You could always track down an american M3 3.0 or 3.0 crank rods and pistons and have them shipped over.
I have heard tale that you can use the M54 stuff but have no further details. Try the american forums such as E30Tech, they're always trying to cram more displacement from the M50.

The M54 rotating bits are a direct drop in to a M50/M52 block. Easy way to get to 3.0L.alexbaby88 wrote:Then will M54B30 crank, rods and pistons fit directly into the M50? This theoretically should give a Bore / stroke of 84mm/89.6mm the same as M54B30. ie iron block 3.0L?
