no but it can be made easier by loosening the master cyl/servo(4 bolts) and removing the glove box and under trim
danthe had some good pics on here a couple of months ago do a search on heater matrix and his name danthe
and it could be to your benefit but the seals are pennies but when you see the position of the screws you will know what i mean

More likely to be the electric valve.
Have you checked that you have the replacement pressure cap that should have been changed years ago under a safety recall?
