This needs to be spot on because its what locates the disc.
Fair and valid point :D

So we now have 9 names on the list, anyone else want to make up the numbers?
Remember we need a minimum of 10 to even think about getting the ball rolling winkeye

Sorry Stu.
Discs are Audi TT.
Only other bits required will obviously be calipers/pads from 750 and the brackets from Ant.Apart from the machining i think its as simple as that winkeye

I don't know if this has been covered in this thread already but what is the weight difference between the original brake set-up and using these??? I 'm just concerned about unsprung weight and i bet you wouldn't get many of those 750 calipers in a quarter

the 750i calipers are a lot heavier than the E30 ones, as far as i know, but my E46 M3 ones are lighter!!

unsprung weight= the lighter the better. Hold a 2 l itre bottle of coke, (full and see how fast you can change direction or up/down motion.)

Then try it with a an empty bottle and you'll see how much easier it is to change.

Kinda something like that.

I have thought this too spadge. Think im just going to save for WMS ones as i've already saved a load of unsprung weight with alloy wishbones etc would be a shame to ruin it

Still an interesting read!

Its the disc that adds to the weight.

ed's right, its the reciprocating mass of the disc that you wanna be worried about, more than the weight of the caliper

no mate 25 quid each for std ones and 50 quid each for grooved ones

they do need machined but i don't know how muchie or where you would get it done, wouldn't be that much of a big job for an engineering place to do
