Don't think I ever changed mine from silver... wonder what I'll get!e36guy wrote:Well done y'all.
You're sticker packs will be posted out over the early May BH so you've time to get them all on before the May meet. If you've got the balls to wear them for a month!

ajm-e30, I got your PM. If you can find somewhere on the m25 that has a service station after the m3 junction(might be 12?) then we could stop for a bit. But as Guy keeps saying we would only stop for a certain amount of time otherwise 4 + of us might miss the boat. Now I have said this I can guarentee it will be me being late!
Ziggy we still going up together right? I checked my gazebo had all the parts the other day, don't trust argos one bit, you should fit one fine in your cab mate they are in quite a small box. About a metre long by 20cmx20cm.
Getting excited

Jon, m3 is j12 but there no were to stop; its literally slip roads and thats it. Me and my irish counterpart will be joining the m25 at j11 to get the same ferry as you guys, could meet up with you and ziggy etc at j11 if you like, there is a few slip roads near there?Jon_Bmw wrote:PinkZiggy wrote:Don't think I ever changed mine from silver... wonder what I'll get!e36guy wrote:Well done y'all.

Its Clacket LaneJon_Bmw wrote:The only services that are right on the m25 are between junctions 6 and 5. Its called Clacket woods and is viewable on google maps. The only thing is it is only another 60 miles to dover?

Thats gash Paul. The problem is it will hit your wallet hard too, not being able to share costs
I am in a similar position taking the misses. I doubt she'll want to pay half of all the fuel bills which will be enlarged by my right foot

I've got 2 mates who may be coming, chances are only one of them will though, & quite likely neither! Ah well!
& yeah - meet somewhere & head there convoy stylee Jon - I keep saying we'll sort it nearer the time, but it's actually fairly soon now!

Right JONNNO. Lets sort it sarrn.

It will have resized that. But click on it and it should go to the enlarged version.
Basically i'm asuming you are coming up the a31 which then becomes the m27. Go go past the m271 which is the main route into southampton(signposted soton and west key). Get in the left lane, then before the m3 turnoff about 1/2 a mile up the road is ROWNHAMS SERVICES. You can get silly price fuel here
As for a time route planner assumes it will take 2 hours and 30 mins at normal road speeds
. But just in case I think we should leave earlier than expected. I reckon on getting to dover at about 6 to get to the meeting point, chill out and then go chat to the other 22 cars
So that means that if we also meet at those Clacket lane services we need to allow for that aswell.
If we go from rownhams services straight to dover i think meeting at 3 would be wise. That way we can cruise, chat to numerous piggy wagons
on route and not worry about missing the boat.
If meeting at the other services in Clacket lane, 2.15 to 2.30 I guess?
Does this sound about right, or am I way off the mark

Without wanting to be the c**t who organises this. I think Clacket is the obvious place to go. It's bit safer for a large amount of cars and the people that have had a trek from somewhere 'up norf could have a quick coffee.
Have to leave there at 4.45 at the latest really to make it to the other meeting point at 6 ish.

Dunno I seem to be talking to myself here
If we were to go to clacket, which personally for myself, ziggy, ajm-e30 x 2, (gingertim, kedge? and anyone else on the west side of the m25.) is on the route so it seems rude not to stop and meet up. I guess we would be looking at getting there at 4.15-4.30.
Good god ziggy that means leaving ROWNHAMS at about 2.30-2.45
Poor f**kers up norf

Clacket Lane services is the wrong way for me, im Junction 4 M25 so I will charge straight down to Dover
Campsite and crossing are already paid for so its only petrol money that I have to find. Three tanks should do it.Jon_Bmw wrote:Thats gash Paul. The problem is it will hit your wallet hard too, not being able to share costs![]()

Yeah I thought they'd be the wrong way for you paul...
We'll see you at the meeting point in dover or perhaps somewhere on the m25/m20!
I am not working out how many tanks this trip is going to cost me. I'm staying/moving around for another 4 days after you lot go as well. I am thinking about 5/6 80litre tanks

Some potential dogging opportunities down there too(those sarf londerners get up to all sorts)...
I'll be driving at sensible speeds that match the circumstances. 3 am...pitch black... dry... no officer this old audi can't do 147mph

Silver stripes it is

Now do I fit em to the car with the de-spoilered bootlid or the one with the tech-1 on it that I've just chucked back on for the sake of it?!
Ah well, at least it's raining so I can't rush out there & do it now!

If you take the Argos Gazebo out of the box it has a bag that everything goes in, should save a little bit of spaceJon_Bmw wrote: I checked my gazebo had all the parts the other day, don't trust argos one bit, you should fit one fine in your cab mate they are in quite a small box.
