As the title suggests - I had my BBS wheels refurbed last week - anyone interested in costs etc - let me know I can pass the details on.

When I saw the first 2 pics and saw "this is what they used to look like" I was wondering why you'd got them refurbed!
And then I realised....

simon i know someone based in swansea who does refurbs on wheels, he is very good and is well respected in vw circles. Also does polishing of stuff too.

Who refurbs split rims for you guys then?
Anywhere in the South East?
Why don't Lepsons do them?

As for refurbing, i know a few people who will take the job on including yours truly, but its better to give to the specialists as I can only do them when I have time!

These wheels are two piece split rims we do not take these wheels on due to the damage that is caused to the lacquer when the studs are put back in.

Ah ok
I won't be using them anyway, as it's taken them 2 weeks to tell me that!

I met him at Margam last year, he had some stuff with him.
I've also spoke to someone who wasn't to impressed with his work, but I guess it's up to me to try....

that does surprise me.
i wudnt hesitate to recommend him to anyone, and i'll only do that if i know the work is damn good.
i know richy is planning on using him for alloy refurb too.

Seen quite a few examples of Steves work, he does a good job fair play, hopefully i find some nice split bbs soon that he can polish, oo err

thats right, I remember you saying - I was At Kingston Uni a couple of years ago!!
Ref the wheels - they were done in Sevenoaks in Kent - Ԛ£50 per wheel all inc.- tyres on and off too!!

It was easier to e-mail at the time (Sunday evening) and I'm not having them done anytime soon anyway.
