m20 325i timing

Hi,

I'm aware the 325i engines (m20) use a cambelt, but i've recently heard very late registered 1991 models used a timing chain instead of the cambelt.
Is this true or a myth?

im pretty sure its a myth.All m20 and m40 engines use a belt.Alex
