I finally brought my e30, it ended up being a 318is for around 1000.
Now i need to keep it safe! :D

Both of the above alarms (Mannix or Wintec Lea826) can be found on ebay. What do you guys think I should get.

The reason im not getting toad or clifford is because they don't have a key fob thing which tells you the status of your car (As far as i know of anyway).

I would really appreciate opinions from the zone. Cheers.

mmmm , yeah. i don't mean to sound negitive but id be carefull these look the kind of allarms that go off at 230 in the morning coz a fly flew past 1/2 a mile away.... im not dissin the alarm company thats selling the products BUT look at the small print. the waranty is only valid if fitted buy a pro. im pretty sure that most auto electricans would charge Ԛ£150 plus to fit all that. and there is VAT ontop of the ebay price. For Ԛ£300 you could get a Clifford like mine , Full Closure shock etc. had it 31/2 years and not a thing wrong..
anyway just thought id put my view accross...

Never even heard of them.

Don't be fooled by silly gimmicks that these unknown companies offer. You can get a Clifford Cat1 Thatcham approved alarm for under Ԛ£300 fitted.

I've always had cliffords and never had a problem as long as they're set up right. Take it to a proper autourised alarm place and get one there.

Why on earth would someone want to steal an old e30?

;)
318iS became MR2 Turbo became FTO GPX Mivec became Impreza became Rover 620Ti became Honda S2000 (current) became Fiesta 1.25 and 200SX Drift Slag (when the Honda has gone)

I think Russ has got a point.
Are you realy going to spend Ԛ£300 on an alarm for a Ԛ£1000 car?
Someone will nick it for the alarm
I got the mannix just so i could open the doors.
All that crap about remote start and warming the engine never gets used anyway.
