Ok so bottom line is, got very excited whilst talking to a mate about my car etc and i was watching an engine on ebay now i'm usally very good because i've had enough of the grief from the missis about buying stuff of the bay so i watch things do my reaserch the place a small bid if i miss out no worries there will be another. Well sat night was a bit different got drunk had a massive house party at mine computor was on so in my 4am state decided to bid, woke up the next morning non the wiser and whilst i checked to " see how it was doing" got the shock of my life when it flashed up you are the winning bidder!!! Sh*T was the first thing that came to mind but now i have had time to think about it i think i have got a cracking deal and a good investment. befor you all ask i had won a 5.0i V12. it sounds good i mean idealy i would have gone and checked it out but never the less it still seems like a good deal BUT you know that nagging feeling at the back of your mind ( not the missis) that makes you wonder have i bought an ebay cold? an i going to turn up and this thing is going to be a wreck??! i will let you all decide i will add a link, but what i'm now asking for is advise do you think this is some thing to keep hold of? does any one know a cheap van hire company in SW london? is any body looking for a v12? or have i just made a really bad mistake? all advise and views would be much appriciated even if its bad!
Dips and gary exspesally please get in touch i read the thread of the conversion you did and although it is some thing i would love to do i need to be realistic..
Thanks

If its already out of the car so you can't hear/see it running then you are nuts

Don't forget if this is a conversion you are planning on doing yourself then you will need more than just the engine from the E32. Anyways best of luck with it, hope it works out ok for ya.
Cheers,
Rich.

For £77, try and fit it, if it fails you can weigh it in as previously stated.

What about a LT1 trans and a custom adapter plate?
shouldn´t have any transmission issues after that

you need one LT1 trans,
find a shop that can build the adapter plate
as most if not all except BMW´s transmissions have a removable bellhousing,
