Engine mounts fooked...

Started the long process of giving the car a good looking over and making the HUGE list of what needs doing to bring her back to original standard.

Opened the bonnet and saw the engine resting about 1/2" away from the centre of the mounts - ouch :-(

So, I'M GONNA REPAIR THIS ASAP, AS OBVIOUSLY DON'T WANT THE ENGINE FALLING OUT!

Anyone know if this is an easy process, and also how much the mounts are? Are there tutorials for this sort of thing?

This is a common problem, they are cheap and easyish to replace from GSF of ECP.

Don't drive it or the throttle linkage could dent the bonnet, and the fan might not move if it's touching the rad....

ok thanks, will probably explain what the knocking noise is over the bumps then - probably not the suspension after all! 8O
