Help Please

I have a 93 hell red E30 that looked almost pink, I spent 8 hours cleaning it the other weekend and was very impressed with the finish, but after about a week it was back to the way it was,
what I did:
1. I washed the car thoroughly with supaguard shampoo
2. leathered the car until bone dry
3. used autoglym fine cutting compound with buffer
4. applied supaguard polish
5 applied autoglym paint sealant for extra shine

the results were amazing but am now disheartened about going through the whole process again and...... again and.......................... again

am i using the wrong products, and can somebody please tell me what claying is all about? :o:

When mine was faded to an almost pink, I used t-cut (probably a couple of coats) then washed it off and gave it a good wax, seems to be ok. I'm not sure what flavour red mine is though

i used menzerna products and a porter cable and my paint was regenerated! took a few hours of washing, claying, buffing and finishing but has been worth it.

now i can just used a two bucket was and then hand wax it with some carnouba wax.

i showed a before and after when a mate used the porter cable on my car so if you check out my posts i think it tells you more there. and others said what they did on the same thread.

Thanks to you both

Can enybody tell me if they recommend or have used the supagard products before????

I work in a dealership and the valeters swear by it, but they only really use it on new vehicles before handover, most members on the zone seem to recommend meguires or zymol, could supagard just be cheap stuff used to get a big profit?
