Just turned 100K miles. I was blessed to find this one is great shape and have put a bit of my self into it as well. The car really is as clean as it looks. I did the valve cover myself, had it blasted, then powdercoated. The paint it nearly flawless, save some minor chips here and there, to be expected with 100K miles. Just installed a MarkD chip and it really made a huge difference in the power. Love it. Thanks guys for the compliments. Got a bunch more in the works, taking it as I can. :)

Engine bay, wow if I pay for your ticket you can come and do mine

I also love that you guys on the other side if the pond don't have to fit front licence plates - that just makes the front of the cars so much cleaner 8)

Do you have the 325i in the US as well? What's the difference between that and the 325is?

Yes, we do have the 325i. The 's' version came with sport seats, front and rear spoilers, full on board computer (as opposed to half with the 325i), maybe the rearview mirror with the map lights and probably a few other minors I am forgetting.

Thanks for all the compliments. :D Makes me feel pretty good considering the sources. You guys here have some of the nicest looking E30s I have ever seen anywhere.

I think the S stands for Sport, so it's the same as a 325i Sport over here, only for some reason they don't ad the S to the trim decal.

Apart from what you mentioned I image you'll have M-Tech suspension, LSD and close ratio gearbox..?

Limited slip-yes, 3.73 ratio. 4.10 LSD came on auto trans.

Not a dog-leg box, just a standard trans.

Surprise surprise, it was originally a Colorado car, and then moved to Wisconsin. Hard to believe it, considering the condition, but true nonetheless.

Considering the original condition I'm surprised you haven't got original cross-spoke alloys or Alpinas on it, but that's just my humble opinion

Had a set of Ronal LS; great looking wheel, but they only come in 15", and that's just too small imo. As for Alpinas, they rock, but cost $$$$$. Kopis are an option, but I have other things higher on the priority list. The MMs are decent looking wheels, I just need proper fitting tires. These are 205, and they should be, at minimum, 215. I may jump to a 225 if rubbing is not an issue. Eventually, I would like a set of the 17" Kopis. One consideration on them is they are very heavy as I understand. That weight robs performance, so I have been hesitant in the past to pursue them, but I do love the look. Ah, we'll see. For the next while though, I will be ridin' on the MMs.

Here's a couple pics of my previous 325is with the Ronals:

This is a fairly recent pic of my new one and my pal Eric's M3 (he just sold it unfortunately  )

They're the wheels I refer to when I say original cross-spokes. I like them partly becuase they're How BMW Intended, but some people prefer bigger wheels.

Who's is the lurvely M3 by the way?!

The M3 belonged to my best friend until just recently. He sold it and his E36 M3/4 in order to purchase a 2005 ZHP 330i (personally, I think he's crazy). It was a sweet '90 model with about 115K miles. Really clean car. Actually I bought the black 325is from him about 3 years ago. It's his damn fault I am into these things now, but I love 'em. :D

The good news is, I have another bud locally that picked up an '88 E30 M3 with about 88K miles on it. Nice car too, in diamondschwartz. Here's a pic of his:

Yeah, I have never seen nor heard of a 16" Alpina replica, only the 17" Kopis. I have a source for them, it's just that I don't have a source for the funds right now.

I'd rather have original BMW alloys than replica Alpinas... They are like gold dust but I seem to remember some genuine 16's ones on sale here not long ago!!

One of our r3vlimited members has a set for sale, but they are powdercoated black/grey and I would have to have them refinished to be happy with them. And he is asking over a $1000USD for them. No, not a bad price for what they are, but more than I have.

My wheels may not be the hottest things going, but they are okay with me for now. My list of mods to come next:

*Supersprint(Racing Dynamics) headers (I already have these, I just have to get them coated/Jet Hot)
*19#Mustang injectors
*M30 AFM (on the way now)
*New clutch
*Euro ellipsoid smilies (in discussions now for a set)
and myriad others
*Brullen muffler (IF i can find one!)
*Racing Dynamics side skirts (already spoken for, will be getting them later in the summer)
*Tires (these[khumos] ones are wearing down, and they sucketh anyway!)
*Eventually a new suspension setup-probably GC with Koni SAs

Wheels will have to wait for a while, as they are not as high on the priority list.

Wonderful sport man! Idk why but i see more US e30's in red (mine is).

Working on my car i managed to get myself a free iS in a junkyard and grab parts from it. Im gonna rip the spoiler and rims off of it. I needed a motor anyhow.
