welding large holes underneath the rear door

Hi Zone ,

I need to weld up some big holes underneath the rear door of my 320i with new steel and would like to know what diametre of steel i would need before i attempt to do this job ?

Where exactly??

Dont forget to disconnect battery before doing anywelding.And also be careful because rear door is close to petrol tank.Heat travels fast with the metal being so light
