polishing fresh repainted car?

I am curious,
do I need to polish or wax fresh repainted car (black metalic)? Is that necessary or I can wait with that treatment?

I'm no expert, but from what little I know if it's been freshly painted you shouldn't do anything to it as the paint needs a good few weeks to cure. Not even supposed to wash AFAIK. But I'm sure someone will come and put you right sooner or later.

As above leave it a couple of weeks to cure.

Then if the paint shop haven't go over it with very very fine wet and dry (water and fairy liquid and keep using it)

Then go over it with a polisher and cutting paste.

Then maybe zaino sealant or similar.
