Might aswell change the whole engine.
The pistons are a different shape so after machining work it's not worth it

True, true. How much is a decent m20b25 these days?
I fitted one over a weekend with the aid of a hefty mate, engine crane and load leveller and that was into a car that didn't originally have an m20!
The 2.5 is an awesome engine though mine has a 4.1 diff and is a bit mismatched with it's hears i'd say.
Good luck dude.
Jai.

What sort of power increase will this give over the std 320?ed325i wrote:Use the 320 head with a 325 inlet and tb.
I have a 320 with a blown head gasket and have been given a good 320 head as a stop gap between finding a 325 or 525e lump.

Better off working the 320 up to a 2.7, much easier.

If you are doing a 2.7 you would be better using a 2.5 pistons and head.clubfx2 wrote:Better off working the 320 up to a 2.7, much easier.
