DECIDE TO TAKE IT ON.
You mission is to build a new E30 M3 convertible from new. You have acquired the shell from BMW. You will need to have the following in the car:
Air Conditioning
Heated seats, wing mirror, screen jet nozzles
Cruise Control
Xenon lights all round
It also has to be converted to RHD
So where do you start?
The idea of this thread is to actually build this car. Getting all part numbers and prices and start posting what you are doing and how much it will cost.
Okay, I will start with the easy bit
1 x Sports Steering Wheel M-Tech II Black
Part Number: 32 33 2 226 731
Price excl VAT Ԛ£249.17
Total price Ԛ£292.74

Wouldn't you need to spray the shell and get a steering rack and pinion and a dash fitted before a steering wheel?

The M3 steering rack doesnt fit rhd does it? From what ive heard ppl are forced to use 325i racks and theres a great many positive things said about the M3 rack
Maybe an E36 rack conversion?

That is correct. I hadn't put it into any order!!
Plus, I could look it all up; just thought it might be a laugh to see if we could all plough together and produce one in reality.
I certainly do not have the ways or the money to do this in real life, I'm afraid to say

you will also need some money for comfort eating/drinking/smoking when you realise that you will never be accepted by the bmwcc gb mpower section as your car does not have the correct part number for the steering rack and it is not serviced at bexleys.
