abs driveshaft same as non abs?

cant get the old drive shaft off the wishbone assy from a non ABS cab (think it started life as 318i). The spare one ive got was off a 325, the shafts measure up the same in length but the ABS one looks like the end where it joins the diff is 1 - 2 cm thicker than the old one that came off

cheers mate, so id be ok with one shaft non ABS (whats on the good side of car) and use the ABS shaft on the new hub assy I got? Was a bit worried the mis-match would notice on the road...
