Hi Guys,

I'm picking up a 318i that I've been offered for peanuts (£100 :)) and I've been donated an entire E34 535i which is a rust bucket but has a known good engine/box.

I've had a look at a couple of the threads on here about this engine swap but are there any potential pitfalls of this engine conversion?

Are there any particular parts that I should change like engine mounts/hoses/cables etc? I read somewhere else that the bulkhead needs some bashing as well - how true is this?

Any tips and advice or pointers in the right direction would be appreciated :)

Oh and here are some pics of the sleeper winkeye

im half way thru the same conversion. Bulkhead 'probably' wont need bashing, mine didnt. Custom mounts needed, im making mine as do many, however e30de and someone on the zone will sell you some circa £150 ish. apart from that most bits are plug and play. remember the speedo clocks differ between 6 and 4pots! Any advice give me a pm,or do a search, theres about 30ish zoners on here who have done this conversion!Cheers Alex :D
