Also, I am sure I've seen what looks like smoked glass on some BMs' main and spot lights, and was also told it's a cheap DIY mod....any idea?

As some of you might have seen on my sig, my spot lights have misted up. Any ideas to get them looking clean again? Sure these are sealed units......

Remove the affected lights and rest them on a radiator until the water has evaporated.

Can anyone tell me how to move the middle lights?
The Haynes manual diagram looks different than mine and it appears that both lights have to be removed together? Any ideas? My task is as above, and it's a '93 Touring.
Cheers

Best way to get them looking new again, remove your grills, remove the 3 large screws holding the complete lighting unit, remove the rear bulb covers, remove bulbs, not forgetting the sidelights, and stick them in the kitchen sink with plenty of fairy liquid, being sure to give them a good shaking, then stick them on the radiator!

Thanks mate, will give it a go. I have my MOT on thursday, so hope removing the units won't throw them out of beam.
In fact, hope I pass the MOT, the French version, which is every 2 years.
