i have a 325i sport, on 2 occasions in the past week when i start her up it revs it self up from normal idle speed to about 12000 then normal then 12000, without me touching the pedal, up and down she goes ,
even if i rev her up , thinking somethings sticking its still the same when i release the pedal; but!!!
if i switch her off and start her again shes fine..
whats going on ..
shes 89 f reg
96k on clock
seviced more than enough .
thanks brad

Here's the ICV!!

Image

Undo a 10mm bolt under the ICV on a bracket, and give it a twist and it should come free!!

Actually, there's only one broken ICV in the country.

It's the evil ICV elves going from 325i to 325i swapping it to confuse and bewhilder us all.

Little bastards.
