no not yet! I've changed my front spoiler arrangement, i creep over my speed humps on my road and i'm living with it

what fooked me up was the 50 profile bbs tyres, looks wicked but just that 10mm or so too low. Her indoors drive it to work the other day, it came back in 1 piece thank the lord!

Loving the back end styling now, looks the tits! imo of course

Ozmund don't you like being famous?

Think the Racing Dynamics badge looks good myself. But I reckon it would look better if it was lower on the panel, seems a bit high. Probably should be the same height from the bottom as the 325i badge would be.
Currently slumming it in an E46 Touring

i thought i'd do a few pic's and an update on me old daily hacker! I've just driven it for a year changed the oil really until a month ago when it became time to sort some more issues ready for the may 'ring trip!

Recent work has been........!

new fuel tank + filler neck
rear brake lines
stainless lines all round
Brake fluid change - ATE super blue
new prop dohnut
new coil
new steering coupling
Some small welding patches to the rear inner arch. Not good but i've got it early
Ali wishbones :)
Fixed my windscreen wipers after 8 months of them not working! lol
Fixed the sunroof goes back and tilts now.

Central locking and the rear wiper would complete it! but i'll try with them later in the summer

Left on the list before we go camblet and aux belts, dizzy rotor. New clutch as it's hammered + a lightened flywheel 5.9kgs. I can't wait to get this on and see what this does to the car. Car seems to be flying at the mo for a cammed up 2.5

I've painted the IS lip silver to match the bodywork. I think it's better than black like it was before plus i was bored!

I've had a few PM's recently asking about the suspension setup on the old girl so i thought i'd post it here aswell for all to see:

H&R cupkit saloon springs 60mm front 40mm rear. It's more like 60 on the rear! even on saloons.
Alpina spec bilstein HD dampers - i was using the 45mm inverted tech 1 sport ones but they are going on my alpina

Hartge anti roll bars 22mm front 3 way adjust, mine are on the hardest
16mm rear and it's non adjustible. bmw drop links all round

E46 M3 cab rear top mounts - these are sooooo tough!

Aluminium wishbones with M3 eccentric control arm bushes

Racing dynamics front strut brace

3.91 LSD with ZM3 couple diff bush

The rest is standard bmw only bushes, no poly sh!t here!

Mate, that interior is hanging, give it a clean you lazy raasquart

Stance on the car looks really good and the strut brace looks proper, not like the central heating pipe affairs you see

Simon, that interior is dirtier than the one in my ex-builders van 8O

I've got the flywheel ready to go for balancing, I'll get it to you hopefully later this week.

Cheers,

The last clowns to change the belt on the 320i left the old roller in and fuck me it was noisy.

Andy it had a new tensioner, tensioner spring and waterpump last year. The belt has only done around 25k but i don't want to take a chance. I always thought they were good for 2 tours of duty no?

Is this Dave or Si, i'm confused :?

I've got to work in the morning till about 12:30. But i'll probably pop down after that, if sheps is about it would be rude not to see how many HP the 205 is down on.

f**king engine has sh!t itself :(

Engine oil pressure light came on yesterday, or in other words the engine is scrap. No oil is getting to the top end. Sounded like a sqweeking noise when i started it after i pulled over! So it's finally died on 237,000. I think it's the oil pump

I've got a another 225,000 mile 2.5 engine to drop in to keep it going! As i'm going to the ring in 3 weeks :? Then after that i'll pull the other one apart and see whats what and build the original back into a 2.7 i think as i have enough parts to build 2

bloody old cars!

Cheers Damo, the engine in my "breaker!" that i'm now driving, seems strong so lets hope it can take some grief! it's had a top end rebuild @ bmw in 2002 on 160,000 miles and it's pretty quiet and pulls well for a 2.5

When theres a ring trip going on theres always plenty of dramas before, during and after! It's part of the fun sometimes, mainly when it's not you! lol

Si. As promised I'll have the paperwork for the breaker in my grubby hands tomorrow. I'll bell you to get the low down for Friday. As i said i've got 2 meetings in Aldershot Friday Morning. I SHOULD be all done by 1pm and be able to either shoot over to your gaff or meet you somewhere.

Speak later mate.

Hmmm, i'd go along with that! The one positive I take from not being able to come on the next ring trip is that I know I wont be breaking something on the shitter.

Gimme a shout if you want some unconstructive criticism when swapping the engines.
