hi, ive got a few questions about a few things so if anyone could help id appreciate it :)
firstly is there much difference in weight between a 4dr shell and a 2dr shell ? and is the 2dr shell much more stiffer that you would notice it alot ? and also does anyone know what size the drain plug is on a 316i gearbox is ? :)
thanks

I used to have a 2 door but now have a touring (effectively a 4 door with a different boot), the 2 door was stiffer than my touring.
If I jack up one wheel on the touring the doors are visibly out of line and the pass front jams shut. Never had a problem with the 2 door.

Not sure how juch heavier a 4 door is over a 2 door as weight differences they're not listed in the handbook but a cabrio is 120kg heavier and a touring is 70 kg heavier.

Cheers,

4 doors are 20 kg heavier although other factors such as spec will affect final weight of the car. As for stiffness I can't say I have noticed much difference.
