So its only the engine side of the 101 you want?
Maybe a zoner with a breaker/scrap engine can sort you one out?
Worth a wanted ad winkeye

I think the C101 is about a fiver new.

When I said cam cover I meant the ally piece, not the plastic you did red and blue. IMO it would look nicer black 8)

Havent read through this thread yet, but the red/blue cam cover looks good 8)

Dont forget to block the inlet ports up if you leave the inlet plenum off, dont want any nasty bits falling into the cylinders 8O :?

Thats cool, Ive just seen some bad cases where a stray washer has fallen down an inlet port and nobody noticed, until they started the engine 8O :(

what he said^^^ any ideas why my spark and fuel have dissappeared, also when(hoping i do) i get it running whats the best s/c kit for the m50,what power can they make without going at the internals?Custom eaton job or buy kit?Long time away yet prob but just curious,

The treehouse connector..how much is it?How do i bypass my bmw immobiliser?and would the auto loom im usin prevent my engine from working?

i just want to drive it now :-x

As complicated as the C101 looks, only two wires (green and green/purple) actually have anything to do with the actual running of the engine.
The reason you engine doesn't run now will be simple, but you'll have to do some tests to find why.
12 volts at the reds on the DME relay? 12 volts at the green in the C101 with ignition on?
Test with a lamp, not a meter.

really? i didnt think only 2 wires had to do with it,u just saved me a lot of time.dme relay..is that the name for the 3 relays???

thanks for your help

if there is no power at the relays when ignition is on is that normal,do they change on cranking or when you turn on the ignition

what should the crank position sensor read when cranking?any ideas ,if you know the answer of the top of your head you should write a book :D

CPS produces a pulse signal with a frequency corresponding to the rate at which the teeth on the wheel are passing it, with a 'drop out' once a rev when the missing tooth comes around. Amplitude of the pulses varies with revs, but isn't important.
DME relay is the main ECU one (usually white).
Check for power with the ignition switch at the green wire in the C101.

got wiring diagram today and went following from the source,i am pretty sure the ecu is broken, power going into it but not coming ouy, when i send power to it directly the relay clicks on and i get spark and fuel,so im gonna get an ecu tomorrow and see how that goes.number 1 is not giving power,56 has power and 2? cant remember, but the one which turns on the fuel and coils is not working, hopefully an ecu will sort that out,

Highly unlikely (but not impossible) that the ECU is the problem.

i hope your wrong lol
but if the power is going into ecu and not coming out the other side then surely its the ecu.what else would it be

i collected the ecu so i gonna throw it in tomorrow and see if i have power at the pin number 1,ie spark and fuel, fingers crossed,

one or 2 jobs to do before its on the road.
shorten 318is prop,
change output flange on g/box to an m42 one
put on gearlinkages
throttle cable, solder up wires and tidy them,
rad and plumbing
wire temperature switch
put in slave cylinder and bleed it,
mount ecu,
bleed all brakes,sort electric fan,
make my exhaust

it will never be done :(
hopefully she'll be 100% for santa pod in september 8) few of my friends are heading over for weekend,e30 convoy 8) all going well she'll be charged by then too
