Ive taken the old 316i m40 engine out and will be putting the 318is m42 engine in any day now- does anyone know how to get the exhaust to fit onto the new manifold as i doubt it will slide on perfectly! do i need a downpipe to connect it or what?!
If anyone knows please let me know!

Cheers

You need to use the 318iS manifold, and complete exhaust system. The 316 exhaust can't be used!

The 318iS exhaust is mega bucks! :?

ive got the iS manifold so i need to know how to join my powerflow system onto it. the powerflow system was made to fit the 316! both manifolds are 4-2 so its just a matter of length i think. i think the iS manifold is further back so i'l need to cut my exhaust back.

I think you'll have to fit the engine & manifold and then work out the best way forward, as it's a custom exhaust, I'm sure you will find a way to modify it :D
