I said sell the cab and get a sport as the cab is only really for posing in but I like Karans idea. A cab with a 325 and a slippy diff would be cool!

I'd say just do an engine conversion (would bigger than 2.5 be unwise? :D) and avoid paying over the odds!

Kam I love the sports dude - but finding a nice clean one is not easy, I would say beef up the lump in the cab and you will have one sweet motor that you know very well....

sell the cab and buy a genuine 325i cab m8.

im not a fan of engine transplants, it makes a car difficult to sell on, ur insurance can be higher (u shud always tell the ins co a. it has whatever engine i fitted and b. its been converted from a smaller one)

You gotta get an LSD, you love donuts and drifting don't ya!

If you love the car, and I think you do....then put a 2.5 in there.

Will be great fun.

Or I'll put a new engine in the sport I have with a cracked head, and I'll swap ya?!!!!

Been there done that, you lose money and its serious hassle. Your cab has been described as very very nice hence I think you could sell it for serious money. When it comes to Cabs the price difference between 320i and 325i is much smaller. Alot of people who dont know about the difference between a 320i and 325i are in the market for these cars and think a 320i is economical comapred to a 325i.

Too many Sports out there which are over priced rust buckets. You dont know whats hiding under that kit unless of course the owner shows you by taking it off. I like sports but your paying alot of money for what is essentially a bodykit.

JUst kill 2 birds with one stone. Buy an Alpina 2.7 or Hartge 2.7. Better still buy a Sport with a 2.7 conversion from Bexleys. You'll have something thats as quick, if not quicker than Karan's car.

The "cars" section has something that I think is a good buy. The Sport with 2.7 conversion @ Ԛ£4750. Its Sport money but with Ԛ£6000-8000 thrown at it.

some interesting points

But from wat i gather, i shud keep the cab and leave it alone perfomance wise, or get a 325i cab/or even motorsport.

Sal i fookin love your honesty!!

Karans car is one of my faves e30 - if not thee fave! thats just so dam quick

Thing is im surrounded by performance cars - even at work!

my mates have some very fast cars, one has a 4x4 Sapphire Cosworth which is pushing out serious horse (400hp) and another who owns my old Escort RS Turbo S2 pushing 254bhp thru the front, then theres work, Today i drove an m3 an S3 and a scooby wrx and they bloody impressed me so much!

Whenever i drive/or be driven in a fast car i want the same - even my old car was dam quick too, this cab seems so much like a slouch - when i went out with my mates it was tough to keep up with a new 1 series bmw and A4 tdi even as we were cruising i had to put my foot down to keep up as pick up is shite! my bloody exhaust was so loud doin my head in too, then i see the petrol needle go down!

a c2 2.7 wud be great - im loving the cab and as it being my 1st beemer it aint let me down

is this expected with 320i ownership?

Buy a 325i Convertible dude. Unless you want to build a 2.7, it's pointless doing the 2.5 swap for all the above reasons.

Sal, you're always on about people deflating the price of standard 325i's and here you are trying to deflate the price of Sports... :td:

Bodykit, wheels, suspension, gearbox, diff, WHOLE interior... Try adding that to a standard 325i and see how much it costs in the end...
