BRING OUT THE GIMP!
Moderator: martauto

You mean the karting kit? no, its a bit overkill for a freindly race. I will bring my crash helmet and neck brace as I dont like putting my head in other peoples sweat and my neck isn't great after a couple of heavy hits over the years.blatantarrogance wrote:Hahah fair play!!! You going to bring them???

Yup, the roads down south are very nice, on a good clear day the road to lands end (stopping off at sennen with its BIG hill) is so much fun. I've done most of that road at about 80mph in a mates 325 years ago.tailoutcharlie wrote:top pic is gwithian at 13.00 on easter sunday. about 15-20 miles down coast from newquay.
middle pic is sennen cove down by lands end. (amazin roads down there ask munky30)
will find out the availabilty of karting this weekend, may just be able to rock up in a convoy.

I'll stop by Ringwood Brewery & bring a keg of the good stuff for the times we cannae be ar$ed to make it as far as the pub.blatantarrogance wrote:This is starting to build into what could be a legendary weekend. Lets take stock.
Beer- Well it is Newquay. I'm going to bring a wee bit of Somerset cider for anyone who no longer requires the use of their eyes.

So not only are you a chrome fetishist, you're also a CAMRA anorak too???Ziggy wrote:I'll stop by Ringwood Brewery & bring a keg of the good stuff for the times we cannae be ar$ed to make it as far as the pub.blatantarrogance wrote:This is starting to build into what could be a legendary weekend. You're obviously not drinking the correct lager!!!Ziggy wrote:Nah - just spent many a year getting w***ered & have become quite a connoisseur!Lager's useless when camping - I have a 12v fridge but it's nowhere near big enough. Zyder's great, & I'll be bringing a nice big bottle of JD too, but beeeeer is essential. & Ringwood's good stuff
I expect the dechrome contingent will be supping on alcopops?
Yeah I'll be there Friday I expect... as soon as anyone's getting there really!

Hmmm... I'm on a bit of a Leffe tangent at the mo...blatantarrogance wrote:You're obviously not drinking the correct lager!!!Ziggy wrote:Nah - just spent many a year getting w***ered & have become quite a connoisseur!Lager's useless when camping - I have a 12v fridge but it's nowhere near big enough. JD- Now we're talkin!!!!
Any excuse to bring alco pops into the equation!!! I wont judge you if you want to drink them. My missus likes blue wkd, she'll be happy to share some with you!!!
Oh and I fully expect you chrome boys to go off train spotting or twitching, with your weak lemon drink!!
Speak with gordon, he's coming down on Friday, I'm meeting cotty at Yeovil, idreembeemer at the Taunton boys at Taunton Deane services. Think gordon is going a35 so we'd meet him at Exeter, unless you guys came to Yeovil via Dorchester and travelled from Yeovil?

Southern Comfort, sic. you and your chromies will be on the pimms next!!!Ziggy wrote:Hmmm... There'll no doubt be Southern Comfort & Stella involved too - I'm not allowing Han to bring any of the dirty Sambuca though!
Will sort out meeting nearer the time - I can manage whatever really

Coolski. Southern Comfort's what the lass drinks... along with the stella!blatantarrogance wrote: Southern Comfort, sic. you and your chromies will be on the pimms next!!!
You're more than welcome to meet at mine, stretch your legs, I'll stick the kettle on etc etc.
Black Sambuca rules, so does goldschlager.
Cannot beat Cobra beer at the mo. Stella is good, works well but cobra is far more refined!!!

Never tried mixing them myslef.... hmmmmmmZiggy wrote:Coolski. Southern Comfort's what the lass drinks... along with the stella!blatantarrogance wrote: Southern Comfort, sic. you and your chromies will be on the pimms next!!!

My intention currently, is A35 to Honiton and A30 to Exeter as you say Nathan, assuming there is a reasonable meeting point at Exeter. Anyone wanting to tag onto the convoy - currently 3 E30s and an E36 - feel free.blatantarrogance wrote:Speak with gordon, he's coming down on Friday, I'm meeting cotty at Yeovil, idreembeemer at the Taunton boys at Taunton Deane services. Correct.tailoutcharlie wrote:i'd stay on the A30 untill fraddon (india queens). take the wadebridge turning (A39, well signposted).
follow signs to newquay then for the site.
edit
After leaving the A30 at Indian Queens, continue on the A392 road to Quintrell Downs. Here, turn right at roundabout onto the A3058 Newquay/Porth road. Continue to next roundabout where you turn right onto the B3276 Newquay to Padstow road. Continue through Porth, after passing the beach on your left turn right at the top of the hill into Trevelgue Road (Trevelgue-Tregustick sign). Continue on past a large caravan park before reaching Tregustick
