Anybody done a conversion?, Thinking of doing a conversion?
Would like to see pictures, Idea's, Step by step Builds.
Any info usefull, even if you have photo's of one you have seen at a show or read in a magazine or a link to a site.
I'm told you use an E30 touring as a base to start with..........

there are no step by step guides, and there won't be much in the wa of photos as there arn't many at all.

As far as I can see there is just a lot of welding, strengthening of sills, tidying up ect to do, mst add strength to the roof and back of the cab too though! Your not going to have to do alot of mechanical work the majority of it will be left, might have to reroute wires through to the back though!

Just don't put e36 style rear lights on it or I'll hunt you down.

I don't know good way to put a tourer back on the road thats rotten and needs a ton of welding, since your going to do alot of welding anyway! and your going to cut out alot of spare sheet metal! :D

and yes its based on a tourer, best weld the sunroof up too while your at it, that would be a weak spot and might impede the size of the cab if left.

Dips has a lot of rare and cool machinery, like the 3 door tourer!

Not practical, but they do look better without a tail gate.

A little off topic but on the following pic, is the guy just a floating torso? He looks like he has no legs. Ghostly...
