if you came into about £10,000.
Keep your current car and spend a load of money on it ie. respray, wheels, brakes, suspension and get your cabby how you relly would like it or......
sell your cabby and buy an mint E30 M3?
As you might be able to tell I'm going to be coming into some money
What a dilema hey.

M3 - and it will go up in price if you leave it alone.
No car is worth spending 10k on.

Oh forgot to mention the car is going to have to be my daily driver and will have to commute from North Wales to North Yorkshire every weekend.

I only used to get 160 miles out of a tank full of go go juice when I gave it some stick and only about 250 miles when driving steady. It ate front tyres for breakfast, it cost a fortune to insure, the gearbox went down from 5 speed to 3 speed and the pulley on the end of the crank fell off and buggered the crank.
I still keep in touch with the new owner and it's on it's 4th engine in 4 years.
Summed up EXPENSIVE to run! A bit of a shame really as it went like fook!

I used to regularly get overtaken by a green one of these on the a59 (north yorks

) it went like the proverbial off a shovel, my GTI couldnt touch it.

Proper street sleeper. I used to get asked by Impreza owners 'what cars that mate?' after i'd pissed all over them. Someone once said to me 'that goes well for a Rover 400' HA HA HA

I had thought about that, but the M3 was built to handle well so the cabby version is a bit pointless. Looks stunning tho.
Plus i've only seen one for sale rescently and it was up for £11,000! I'd rather not spend all the money on just a car.

You sound like you have your heart set on an M3, with that in mind i would do this -
Put around 8k into a decent M3, dont be fooled by the limited editions, they really dont justify the premiums IMO. Also, there is no such thing as a perfect M3 at the 10k price range, but there are some very tidy machines at the 8k mark that wont take much to be made near perfect.
Sell the cab and put the remaining money into a practical saloon such as a merc or audi that you can drive every day so the M3 can be kept for those 'special occasions'

my honda dealer is a new one and was itching for a sale lol
i had an hour on both, the cbr600 is a beast, but the fireblade is so much more comfortable, easier to ride and although its heavier feels lighter.

You won't need to spend 10k on your car to get it looking how you want it?
Spend some money on it, for sure, but invest the rest in some ISA's or something...

I think you just hit the nail on the head. I just have to have an M3. The only problem i'll have is storing the M3 during the week when it's not being used, but i'm sure I could sort something.

Might have to try one, I used to have a '98 blade and it was a bit to much for me (10 stone and only 5'7" tall (short). It used to try and kill me at every opportunity.

Buy an outdoor carcoon, mine has been stored in the indoor version for the best part of a year with absolutely no adverse effects.
You can get some really nice 'everyday' cars for 4k ish (5 series, mercs, audis etc) that will get you about in comfort and style, while keeping the miles on the M3 down
Win-win IMO

Another very good point. Oh BUGGER! What to do!
I never thought spending money would be so difficult. I might just give it away to charity. (NOT!)
