Does anyone know if you can put a cover over a soft-top roof to protect from rain & frost etc? Or is the case that nothing should lay on the canvas of the roof other wise it wouldn't be waterproof anymore. The only thing I can think of as an example is a tent, as long as nothing touched the material from the in or outside it was waterproof, as soon as anything came into contact with it water would get in.
It just that I don't have a garage and I'm wondering how all this cr*p weather is taking it's toll on my roof through the winter.
Any ideas / thoughts greatfully recieved.
PS. New site is great, well done mods!

Yup... the convertible was chopped in against the Sport...
Got a convertible in the drive at the moment though...

Not quite as 'classic' as the one I've just parted with, but I don't think the convertible was really me, nice though it was...

I have used a few different type of covers from hood type covers to full body covers prior to shows. I would say that any type of cover is fine for the soft top/hard top with no need for any particular expensive or specialist cover.

Heard back from Classic Additions today. Basically said as long as the cover is breathable it'll be no problem for the cab even if it's wet and it won't affect the water-proofing of the softp-top either. So maybe buying one! So cheers for the advise.
Giles - I'm liking the cab in the pic, but I like the look of the 'is' in the sig as well so fair play to you have fun, were do you store all these E30's?
Iain - Cheers for you help, gonna take a look at the other cover makers, like anything else it'll come down to price especially post xmas!
Cheers again lads.
