320 overheating

My 320 gets hot when in traffic. It is fine when any other time and the temp gauge shows between quater and half . When in traffic it goes into the red. Any ideas.[/quote]

Viscous fan coupling! Very common.
Get it sorted before you crack the head!

Hi I think the first thing to try is your viscous fan.If you stick a rolled up newspaper in and it stops the fan, the viscous coupling might be f*cked.Have you tried a search as this is a common post, as you will get a few different ideas.

any idea how much the viscous fan is, and is it worth finding one in the breakers

Hi ECP web site says Boge/Sachs £34.67 + vat, Replacement £25.35 +vat
