Good-afternoon zoners

Well the weather's absolutely beaming up here and knowing what a perfectionist I am it was time for another mini valet/detailing task.

Most of you will have seen various photos of my car before in similar settings and locations but today I've spent a little time trying to capture a few different angles of the car inc. the front-end, boot badge and wheels. Again the weather has captured some beautiful angles which compliment the car really well.

After washing the wheels they were cleaned with swissol cleaner fluid to remove any deposit then buffed off. Then they were waxed with swissol autobahn wheel wax and buffed off again. Approx time 20-30 minutes. Not the easiest wheels to clean but great end results.

The tyres were treated with carplan 'tyre silk' which gave a high-gloss finish.

Hope you like the pictures.

Hi Clyde.

I'm afraid not mate. I've put too much money into it to sell. I can't ever see me getting rid to be honest.

Thanks for your offer though.

You don't see many decent ones about anymore. Keep up the good work. :D

So 2008 is the 25th anniversay of the E30. Hmmmm. Now that would be an event not to be missed.

I'll keep a look-out for further news in the club brouchers and website. Good hearing form you.

Keep that sport clean

Cheers. Yeah Dolphin Grey, v rare colour now, looks good on a Sport. I ain't changing it in anyway, keeping it clean is tough though. I need to get rid of my swirl marks! Needs some minor rust bubble repair on driver door soon.

There might be a special E30 event at Gaydon next year to celebrate!

Ritz - portacable's coming soon. I've heard the're one of the best dual action polishers on the market. Not cheap but guaranteed to remove the dreaded swirl marks.

I've a few myself on the bonnet and boot lid. Will be soon glad to see the back of them though.

Hi Mat.

The car was previously owned by an MD, who spared no expense on the car, so I was lucky enough to find a virtually mind model.
But because I do quite a lot of miles, overtime stone chips started to appear on the bonnet and other panels so about three years ago I had them done. unfortunately a few more chips have appeared along with a small bubble of rust near the scuttle panel.

So when funds allow it will be going back for more work doing.

The interior is mint apart form the drivers seat. Yes the bolster is on it's way out. It has to be expected for 216,000 miles.
Because drivers seats for these cars are like hens teeth, i decided to buy two types of cloth from BMW and have seat professionally rebuilt and re-upholstered

With regard to looking after the paint-work, it gets cleaned by a mix of products which include Meguires and Swissol regularly.
Last but not least, It gets driven with care, although I've be know to upset a few drivers in it's time, oh and finally it never and I'll repeat never goes to supermarket car parks...

not quite sure if you mean you have the seat sorted but if its any help i will be having my sport seats trimmed in leather so i will have the cloth from my seats going begging. the ones from my passenger seat are mint and will fit either side so you could use it to sort yours.a lot of people would be happy with the drivers seat tbh but then some peoples seats are well farted on.

let me know if its any good to you cause im getting ready to strip them for the trimmer.

Ok it gets cleaned about 3-4 times a week in winter about twice a week in summer.
Covering about 550 miles a week so it collects the usual crap traffic film, tar and of course the dread bird shit too...

I do all the valeting/detailing myself
