hello again people, does this sound correct, ive flushed my 1980 325i sport with that injector stuff that comes in a red thingy, i am now getting on average 24.28 mpg to a full tank, this driving 50% normal/taking my time and 50% absolutly nailing the bitch. is this about right? the car still needs tuning but seems to be running a bit better, (with the idle valve disonnected) any comments would be appreciated

cheers

That sounds fine - Even when I'm being exceptionally gentle and doing everything I was taught when I did my IAM test I never get more than 31 MPG from my 320i.

BECAUSE I HAVE DISCONNECTED MY IDLE VALVE, WHAT IS THE DRAW BACKS OF THIS? I AM SOON TO PURCHASE A NEWS/STEEL ZORST AND GET THE CAR CHIPPED AND THEN ROLLING ROADED, WITH THIS AFFECT THE TUNE? THE CAR IDLES FINE AT THE MO, IDLES AT 900 - 1000 REVS (WHICH I CAN PUT UP WITH) BUT NEEDS A BIT OF FOOT WORK TO WARM UP IN THE MORNING. ANY ADVICE FRIENDS?

CHEERS AGAIN

If it's any consolation my 316 Touring gets around 26mpg around town + dual carriage way at 60 - 80mph depending on traffic. Best I've had on a run is 33mpg all motorway at 75 - 80mph.

Car is well maintained & only has 71k on it.

For the difference in fuel I may as well have the extra two cylinders & 1400cc !
