Now I know a lot of you won't like these, but I reckon they might look good on ye ol' E30, and save a few stone chips too! I have seen them on ebay and wondered if anyone has ever bought one?
My mate has them on his cars in the US as do many others. I have seen them in this country before but mainly on stuff like Datsun 280's that were imported.
Never seen one in the UK otherwise. I don't really see the point in them. Okay they might stop stonechips but you'd never see the panel with the bra on anyway. Chicken and Egg?

Yeah, it does seem to be an American thing. When I lived in the UK I never saw many on any cars (bar U.S. custom rides), never mind a BM. Was thinking it would give a unique look, and as I'm no longer in the UK, it wouldn't be torn off the first night it was fitted!
Might go for it but the guy doesn't accept paypal unfortunately!

Don't you run the risk of ruining the paint underneath due to scratching?

Car Bra's are good as something to protect a fancy paint job from chips on long journeys. Worn all the time, they are gay.

I'd agree with the Munky man on this one. If you've spent your life savings on a show car then I can see why you'd put a car bra on it to take to shows etc.
If you're driving to work every day with one of these fitted to your car then you're a prat. Not only is there no point, as the car will still get dented and scratched just like every other but it'll fade unevenly too into the bargain, which would serve you right.

Bit like the cars you occasionally find in scrapyards with seat covers on them. Remove the covers and there are brand new seats underneath. Never been sat on!
Tends to be things like Micras or Rovers though. Seat covers on an E30 usually mean something underneath barely recognizable as a seat!
