I believe you pay for the car, passengers get in free - knowing Aberdonians that'll mean you'll have three in the boot!

I don't really give a toss about the guy who organises the event, only that we have a good turn out and make it a good weekend - it's what we make it that counts. Sure you won't change your mind?

Anyway, I like Porsche's... :D

OK, so we're back to 12 cars but that's still good:

1. Gary P - both days
2. Mikey (m-dtech) - Both days
3. CraigG (pending above)
4. Ian (320iAN)
5. Grantfk10 - both days
6. Geri - both days (but not camping)
7. Neil (320touring) both days
8. Hammoj28
9. Fuzzy (TBC)
10. Jonathan (j77tcp) - Sunday
11. Ritchie - both days (TBC)
12. Graham (gra325i)

So folks, do we want to make a proper stand, with banners & a marque etc.?

I've got a BBQ, my mates got a marque thingy which I might be able to borrow. Anyone else able to help with this?

Neil, do you know if the 'zone have banners - maybe they use them for big meets such as Gaydon (the week before Callander)?

What do you think, should we make something of it?

12 cars, or more if we can drum up some more support is plenty to make a good show!
BBQ, marquee etc would be good and banners would be helpful. I've got access to plenty of tents if anyone is thinking of camping.
Gary, are you collecting money for this?
How does it go with passengers, entry/camping etc?
If my Cab is on the proper stand, will I be able to move it (or should I bring another car to get off-site if required?)

If there's no more soon I'll just book for 12 and then see if we can add places later.
grantfk10 wrote:BBQ, marquee etc would be good and banners would be helpful. I've got access to plenty of tents if anyone is thinking of camping.
Yeah, a marquee would be good. I'll try to borrow my mates unless anyone else can bring one.
grantfk10 wrote:Gary, are you collecting money for this?
Yes, in due course. Don't worry I'll let you know when you owe me dosh!
grantfk10 wrote:How does it go with passengers, entry/camping etc?
I believe tents (or caravan!) are payable at £8 per pitch, it's one pitch per entry and passengers are included i.e. you pay for the car and pitch only. Although I will confirm.
grantfk10 wrote:If my Cab is on the proper stand, will I be able to move it (or should I bring another car to get off-site if required?)

It's normally considered as good show for you to keep your car on the stand during the show times, i.e. 10am-5pm. However it's common for people to start filtering away from ~4pm. Outwith this time you can come and go as you please.

If you bring another car I wouldn't be surprised if you are charged another entry fee!

OK folks, I asked Mr. Flint (the organiser) a few questions re: the weekend, here's the response:
Hello Tony,

Regarding my previous enquiry re: a club stand at the Callander Classic this
year. Please may I clarify:

- The car entrance at £6 covers both Saturday & Sunday? YES

- Some of us are planning to camp on the Saturday, the car and pitch prices are per entry and passengers (wives, friends) are included, correct? YES

- The Saturday night festivities are open to all entrants, i.e. passengers
too? YES

- Lastly, if we go ahead and book places now (currently 12 cars for the
Sunday, 5 or 6 for the Saturday) can we add more later? YES PROVIDING ENTRIES ARE IN A MINIMUM OF TWO WEEKS BEFORE THE EVENT. IF EXTRA NUMBERS EXCEED SAY 5 PLEASE CONSULT US FIRST BEFORE SUBMITTING.

Sorry if these are obvious questions, I just want to be clear.

Thanks,

Gary

Looks good folks, so I'm thinking we should arrange a meet next month where we can make some arrangements ourselves and I can start collecting money - are we up for this?

OK then, so how about somewhere in Fife, or Perth - either's about half way between Glasgow & Aberdeen?

Where are the folks camping? You could meet up on your way back...?

Anyone else up for this?
