Hi can anyone give me any pointers on the following:
I have fitted a Bilstein gas suspension/ventura lowering spring kit (supplied by euro parts as a streetline kit) to my 88 325cab.
Since fitting it I have found the ride quality really hard & on some roads appalling.
Can anyone advise on a better quality set-up & should I carry on using the gas shocks & just change the springs.
I have also seen some coilover units by a company called FK,has anyone any experience of these & are they worth all the extra cash bearing in mind I am really trying to improve ride quality as well as handling.
Any help would be greatfully received as the above is really ruining my pleasure in owning what is otherwise a really great car.
Cheers
Matt 325 cab.

I'd go for the coil-overs mate. I run a set of FK's and they are brilliant. They do 2 types so be careful which ones you go for. I have the fully height and dampening adjustable ones so i can set my ride height and the ride quality. They really are the nuts. If you are interested in one then let me know and i'll ask my mate how much he can get you a set for. Whatever it is, i'm sure it will be cheaper than anywhere else.

Thanks for the prompt reply, it sounds as if the 'FK' route might be the best one I would be very interested if you can get me a competitive quote on these.
I assume that as they are an all in one design that they are an easy installation?
Cheers
Matt.

I spoke to my mate. He said mine was the last he ever got from FK before he stopped dealing with them because they were so unreliable. To be honest i've heard that from a few people which is quiet suprissing for a German Company. Usually they are really on the ball and are very prompt with delivering goods. Guess you best bet is to have a look on the net and find a supplier who still deals with them.

Good luck buddy
