Help - Replacing bonnet badge

Just bought a new BMW badge for the bonnet of my 320.
Does anyone know if the just pop off or what the best way to do this is.
Just don't want to go hacking around and damage the paint work or anything.

Pop the bonnet open and you will be able to get to the two lugs from underneath the bonnet to push the badge out.

open the bonnet and you will see the under side of the badge it will be 2 prongs sticking out just push them evenly with a small screwdriver

fishing wire every time, two pieces under the badge and pull up, the underneath with a screwdriver can scratch the paint underneath and lead to rust.... this technique also works for the rear bagde and removing the 320 badge

Eh? How can you damage the paint with a screwdriver if you don't even touch it with it?? The holes in the bonnet are lined with little plastic spigots, no risk of damage unless you use a pry bar to do it!

ha ha ha when I replaced mine I did it the good old way of using a scrwedriver and duster to avoid damaging the paint, although I did hack the shit out of a bonnet at a scrappy trying to get a new badge so knew I had to be careful and where the lugs were.

Didnt know you could just push them out

by missing and scratching the paint obviously this cannot happen with fishing wire

Should be ok as long as you get an adult to help when using metal tools....

i normally get my mum to do this as i am only qualified on 12,13 and 15mm spanners, not got my screwdriver badge yet
