Dropped lucky i think Matt. Phoned the guy the same day it went up for sale, hence the early bird! As i say well pleased with the car, a few issues with the car all nigly minor things. Engine seems strong too, blasted up from cheltenham!

Yeah it's been lowered mate, not sure by how much though. I would say about 45mm but not sure.I think i've seen a link with lowered cars on, would be worth looking at! And yes there 15'' bbs. I'm tempted with some azev a's but still like the oldskool look of the bbs's. What your view on M badges? personally i like to see them, but it seems to be a bone of contension around these pages.

With regard to the 'M' badge. I like them too. Ok it's not an M3, but it does carry the legacy of the motorsport pedigree to deserve a badge.
I had an 'M' badge next to the 325 which looked good, but after the boot was re-sprayed I never put it back on again.
I think they look good on the grille too. Saying that though I was thinking about this the other day on the way to work. Ten years ago there weren't many cars which had a badge on the grille apart from the M5 and the Audi S range.
You knew that if any of those two came up behind you they meant business. Now every car even Audi diesels have them! They look like an RS then when you see them from behind they are nothing more than a 2.5tdi - frightening!
Again personally I think they look good. I didn't know they were a taboo subject around the forum....

I know what you mean with audis s-line, every other car carrys it now, but on a 17 year old 80's ledgend? Did sports leave the factory badged up or are they aftermarket fixtures?

To my knowledge sports did not come with them from factory.
I dont mind them, i wouldnt put them on my car but if they were already on a car that i bought i wouldn't remove them if that makes any sense.
James.

No they left the factory as standard. No badges. Officially you can't buy an 'M' badge from BMW. You would have had to own an 'M' car to buy one. Now places like eBay are selling them like hot cakes and most of them are of course fakes. Just like the alpina badges you see on there all fakes.
You can get carried away though too. I saw an 318 ti compact driving up the A1 yesterday with one of those 'M' Powered badges he bought from motorworld. What a arse i thought.
But I think just one badge like you've got is enough. Understatement

Can't decide, had this debate with my old one. BBS has the retro cool factor that go with the car!

Personally i think you cant beat 15" bbs's for handling so why not just paint them a different colour while you decide.
James.

Don't change the wheels. You can't beat old school BBS. They are just classics and make the car look as it should be.
Don't be drawn to the dark side luke....

James the BBS wheel you posted is stunning. Those versions came off the motorsport am I right?? Slightly darker in the center than the outer rim?
