Electrical problems 316i F reg

Speedo does't work unless the radio is on, fuel gauge goes to full, and temp gauge keeps flicking to max red hot when it 'aint. Othewise it's a great car.

Any idea's

This is the last model with 1600cc injection.

Hi Probs. might be due to batteries on SI board needing replaced.I had temp gauge that did same and changed SI board and prob. solved.Someone with more knowledge than me might have other ideas.

SI board could be responsible for some of the symptoms.
Check the earth connections on a stud above the glovebox (lots of brown wires).
No obvious connection between speedo and radio, so check the above first and report back!
