just went to the stealers today to get towing eye cover for rear sport bumper got chatting to the guy on the parts counter (who has just bought a h regd 325i) told him that my two (not including me) owner g plate had been bought here brand new he told me give him regd no. and he would get print out of factory spec order sheet which he did after a further 10 mins chatting i asked could he tell me any history for the car he came back and asked me what miles where on speedo and i told him 165000 give or take ( i know the bloke the car came from and have done for a long time ) he said give or take a few as when we last serviced it in oct. 2002 as they had ever since it was new it was last recorded at wait for it 214365 jesus christ i thought talk about being to the moon and back dont give a sh*t though as the engine was replaced buy them at 210000 so i am just about finished running it in then
i would have rather the dodgy first owner never changed the clocks as i would have liked to know the true millage but never mind still beats all the boys in there corsar etc they seem to want to play more now ive took the 325i badge off might get a 316i and put it on for the crack any one get near this millage albeit on two engines??

you say a small town near to you is having its plant shut down - is that the Halifax factory, in which case, where are you based as sunny Halifax is my old home town (and infact I will be there later today if i can squeze in a sleep between now and 'morning'.

My old 323i did 265,000 between 1985 to 2001. I had the engine converted to 2.7 at about 220,000 and also had the interior retrimmed and the suspension changed and new wheels at the same time. This picture taken shortly before it failed the MoT for terminal rust and was scrapped.

I swopped all the goodies over to my current 89 Sport and had a new top end added and the lump has done about 60,000. So I guess there are bits of the car that have done 325,000 miles! It has no expense spared on servicing and repairs and I see no reason why it can't go on forever!

Joshua Tetley is the Beer based in Tadcaster. An the tea is a different Tetley, company at least dunno I suppose they could have been related.
170,000 and going strong drives better than my bros cab which has done 120,000 and is 1 year younger. Maintainence is the key, regular oil

My first E30 a 320 touring had 331k and full history, it went really well for an auto but the dreaded tin worm had got hold of it in a big way. I borke it for bits in the end. pooor thing.
