broken cab roof
Moderator: martauto
Can anyone give me any advice on fixing my e30 cab roof. One of the arms has snapped, i have had it welded but to no avail. Does any one know of someboby in the north west who will touch it. It is electric and can it be used manualy.

Sounds like a nightmare. New frame may be the only way to go. If so, you'll need to remove the fabric first. This sounds more painful than just a regular roof replacement as you'll have to have it reattached to the new fram like it was a new roof!!
May well be worth aquiring a second hand frame and exploring the cost of having a new roof entirely. There's a company in Swansea that retrims roofs for £250.
Depends on the condition of your roof really.
There will probably be some clever sods around soon to give you more accurrate advice before long!!
Oh and welcome to the zone mate, unfortunate first post!

Looks a nightmare, wonder what caused it in the first place. Buy a hardtop for now, and wait until a complete hood and frame turns up on here or ebay..
Selection of BMW hardtops available, please ask!
