I am thinking of buying a set of m3 dash clocks on german ebay for my IS i think it a nice mod.
Would all the functions on the m3 [oil pressure gauge] dash clocks work on my car.
Also i think it will be in km not mph is this a big deals as far as the law goes.Should i leave well enough alone. :)

The fact that they are KM/H not MP/H means nothing law-wise, so long as you don't break the speed limits!

I'm not sure about the oil pressure guage, I'd guess you need to fit a sensor?

So it can be done, you dont think its tacky do you as it only alittle IS m3 wanna be lol.I had a chat with a bloke at fritze bits when i was ringing round for an mtec2 steering wheel this morning and he holds them in very high regard as he is buying one in the morning.I told him i had a 325 and the IS is not the fastest think on the road and he said you need to know how to drive them to get the best out of them.
Then went on about exhaust mod and chips and head mods to bring the little engine out at 220bhp i bet it would be reving its tits off.Seems like a sound guy anyway.

Better having them fitted to another E30 than going in the bin

You dont need MPH ones, you can chop and change the clocks and dials to your hearts desire!

Not sure about the 220bhp 318iS tho

well the needles don`t come off easily and go back on accurate, so its best to buy a set with MPH in the first place.

As for a 220bhp 318IS thats what the bloke at fritzs bits was claiming this morning.

I thought you could get them for about 20 quid 8O

There was a set on eBay a few weeks ago for Ԛ£80 and a few people on the zone thought this was a stupid price.

Looks like it's the going rate though

That post was quite amusing, Bharat put it up to say WTF, but Ԛ£80 is pretty cheap, I was outbid on a set that finished on Ԛ£130 last week.
You can pick up standard E30 clocks for about Ԛ£10-20 less sometimes on e-bay.

I have been outbid on m3 clocks now its standing at over Ԛ£100 then you still have 20euros postage and its still got 4 days plus to go so only god know where it going to stop.
As for 220 bhp on the IS give fritze bits a call.

Probably is the right part number, but the M3 oil filter housing will be different so surely you'll have to make a new hole?

That's quite good that you can just swap the sump plug for the pressure switch! :D

no problem mate,
i was having the complete, whole back half of the car.
went up last saturday to cut it up, and he had a fire there 2 days earlier.
the m3 was on the end of a row, and it had scortched the near side rear quarter, damaged the rear wing, bootlid and spoiler, i was well gutted,
he said not as gutted as him as he couldn't get insurance against fire.
i felt sorry for him then as he had lost 3/4 of his stock.
looked in the car to find a number plate for the car to see what year it was, think it was E reg.
only glanced at the steering wheel,
just noticed it had the three coloured stripes on it
i ended up just having the complete back axle off it.
also noticed it had a fairly new complete stainless exhaust
