Horn on my 320 cabrio has never worked properly, by this I mean about once every week!!... I took the horn off yesterday when changing front wheel as it is mounted behind fog lights.

Is there a way to test the horn easily, ie connect it up to battery to see if it still works?

Also is it worth buying horn 2nd hand, how much do BMW charge? (I live in Italy so can't get to GSF or Halfords etc!).

Cheers for help.

If you get a car battery and Jump leads or some bits of wire you can tell if it works properly just by touching the terminals. If it works it's probably a dodgy earth as they are quite exposed down there, failing that depending on postage and the cost of one from BMW someone on here will have one for you.
