How do you get 'classic car' under the insurance. Do you have to tell the insurance company something or do they already know by reg details???

Most E30's should qualify for "classic insurance" But as you know insurance companies are law unto themselves !!! If you can limit the mileage and it's your 2nd car it seems to convice them ....
