Good man, glad you're keen!

I was hoping to get 10 confirmed before going back to the organisers, however the response has kinda slowed :(

So maybe it's 9 cars then, still nine E30's will look good!

Craig / Fuzzy, still waiting for confirmation guys!

So, who's all for both days and who's for Sunday only?
'89 325i - was an SE but not anymore, was bronze-beige metallic (yeuch!) but now techno-violet (thankfully)
'89 Toyota Corolla GTi-16 - track, hillclimb & sprint car (yeeha!)
'08 Buell XB12Ss - American engineering at it's 'best'... good fun though

Hello Grant,

Nothing more since my last post mate, still waiting for confirmation from Fuzzy & Craig, if so we have 9 confirmed. Even one more would be good (the BMWCC usually take 10 places!)

FYI, I contacted the organisers who said they were happy to have us along.

Hi, I'm totally new to all this having bought my first E30 (a totally standard 1990 H reg 320i saloon, done 106K, fairly good condition) just last week. :D

Would love to come along on the Sunday, already had some welcome pms from Scottish zoners after I posted to try & get an original 1990 Blaupunkt cassette/radio - would be good to talk to some more local experts about how to look after what I think is a fanastic classic car (& such fun to drive)! Is this OK, my car's not totally bling but I'd like to think it's not a turd (don't want to let the side down! :o: ).

£6 not a problem.

Cheers, Jonathan.

Hello Jonathan,

Welcome to the 'zone!

Don't worry about being standard, lots of people prefer them that way (though mine's not... )

And don't worry about the 'bling', we don't all have rides like Bootyman (whose car you'll get to know (and love) - now that is BLING!!!!! 8O :D )

I'll put your name down:

1. Gary P - both days
2. Mikey (m-dtech) - Both days
3. CraigG (pending above)
4. Ian (320iAN)
5. Grantfk10 - both days
6. Geri - both days (but not camping)
7. Neil (320touring) both days
8. Hammoj28
9. Fuzzy (TBC)
10. Jonathan (j77tcp) - Sunday

OK then folks, that makes ten!!! :D

Been having another look at the CALLANDER CLASSIC WEEKEND web-site http://www.callanderclassic.com/body_CCW.htm
Looks like being a good week-end. I'm planning on going on the Friday evening and camping for the full week-end.
There's a full program, so lots to see and take part in.

Gary P - are you booking camping places, or should I book as an individual ?

"The Reserved Campsite:
Open from noon Friday to Monday 10.00am the campsite is reserved for
strictly for entrants and traders and must be pre booked. Entrants with
caravans will be allowed a towing vehicle if the entrant car is
unsuitable for such purposes but are not permitted additional
accompanying persons.

Due to restricted space friends and family members in additional cars
can not be accommodated unless of course they purchase a separate
Entrant Pass. Friday evening entrants can enjoy their own on site Club
Barbecues and generally wind down for a great weekend ahead.

All campers must comply with Campsite Rules. Their are adequate mobile
toilet facilities and a water stand pipe. We have arranged for campers
to make use of the McLaren Leisure Centre adjacent to the venue where
they can take showers, sauna and swim in the magnificent pool."

If anyone needs - I have access to a selection of tents, pm me for details.

I am planning on booking as a club. I'm up for camping too, though probably just the Saturday night.

Anyone else interested in camping?

OK then Ritchie, good to have you along.

1. Gary P - both days
2. Mikey (m-dtech) - Both days
3. CraigG (pending above)

7. Neil (320touring) both days
8. Hammoj28
9. Fuzzy (TBC)
10. Jonathan (j77tcp) - Sunday
11. Ritchie - both days (TBC)

That's 11; 6 for Sat & Sun (5 camping) and rest for Sun only (two TBC).

At some point we'll have to decide whether or not we want to do something in the way of a 'stand' (e.g. banners & stuff). Neil, does the 'zone have banners they use for shows? If yes, do you think we could borrow 'em?

Are folks interested in a meet, e.g. next month, both an E30zone meet and an opportunity to agree some arrangements for the show?

Glad to have you along Daz. :D

The show's in Callander, near Stirling:
http://www.streetmap.co.uk/newmap.srf?x ... &ay=707500

It's held in Ben Ledi Park on the A81 just on the outskirts of the town:
http://www.callanderclassic.com/body_CCW.htm

You can come along for the main day (Sunday) or a few of us are going for both the Saturday and Sunday, some are camping. There's a run out through the Trossachs on the Saturday and a party night with live music on the Saturday night - for attendees only. It's a decent weekend.

Only thing is you have to book the place, it's £6 for the day and £8 for a pitch (if you're camping).

Yeah, I was hoping to arrange something in the not too distant future. Either a car or beer 'meet'. Any preference (I know Neil's)?

Why don't we just all go round to Neil's to fix his car - he provides the beer of course, and after a few (quite a few) he'll not care that she's not running!

How does this work with passengers? I see on the website that exibitors have access to a ceilidh at night and a bbq, if you take a couple of pals along do they get in aswell if we are all in the same car?
