heads ok me thinks????

just had a close look at the 320i that i have with what i thort was blown head however iv just noticed that the fan is hanging off think its snapped off at water pump

would this mean theres a good chance that a new pump and a damn good flush would sort it out ????
it will still start and drive just boils quick and full of yogurt


also just done tstat etc on my other bm and been bleeding for ages and still bit unsure if its rite temp needle hovers around half above and below but v close to middle and heaters are roasting but the pipe from tstat housing that goes back to pump isnt getting hot???should it??
also bottom rad hose dosent seem very warm at all??

sounds like the waterpump may have seized perhaps - so its overheated n maybe knackered the head, hence the mayo!!

Hi mate, sorry to hear about your troubles, I have a very good M20B20 you could have very cheap if you want it, hope you don't need it though!

cheers andy keep you in mind but i have got an engine from teml8e30 just need to get my arse down theyre for it
would be nice if i didnt have to fit it tho guess ill have to fling on a new pump and viscous etc and see what happens

been 1 of them weeks never mind think mines ok and bled properly now??? me hopes gonna take it for a spin in a bit and find out

got a third car to rebuild as well so may get bak to u regarding that engine cheers Daz
