Well folks this weekend is drawing near and i want to get the ms in at last, what i am doing is connecting my ms loom to the pins of an old ecu socket, i dont expect anyone to answer all below but if you notice anything suspicious warn me! also can i just link every earth to the same place?

tps -5v black wire = pin 52
tps signal black wire = pin 53
spark A black wire = pin 1
2x black wires for injector bank 1= pin 16
2x black wires injector bank 2= pin 17
1x black unlabelled???? maybe fuel pump relay = pin 3
heavy grey 3 core i presume cps= pin 47, pin 48 and an earth
Air Temp Sensor= pin 44
coolant sensor= pin 45
oxeygen sesor= how do i integrate lm-1 and wideband here??
2x black and a green/yellow al together labelled ground=
heavy orange= where best to pick this switched 12v up?
heavy black= to body of car?
3 labelled spare Blacks=unused
idlev= unused?

cheers

tps -5v black wire = pin 52 = YES
tps signal black wire = pin 53 = YES
spark A black wire = pin 1 = YES
2x black wires for injector bank 1= pin 16 =YES
2x black wires injector bank 2= pin 17 = YES
1x black unlabelled???? maybe fuel pump relay = pin 3 ,check wire number on MS loom , use to ground FP relay and DME relay when ignition on, MS on, both relays pulled to ground.
heavy grey 3 core i presume cps= pin 47, pin 48 and an earth =YES, dont connect the screen to gnd though !
Air Temp Sensor= pin 44 = YES
coolant sensor= pin 45 = YES
oxeygen sesor= how do i integrate lm-1 and wideband here?? use the small jack plug, analogue out WB to 02 sensor input pin, other to gnd, LM plugs in to ciggy lighter, then you can leave it in to tune, and remove easily later on dude.
2x black and a green/yellow al together labelled ground= ground to body/battery
heavy orange= where best to pick this switched 12v up? pin 37 hot with ign on
heavy black= to body of car? to battery !
3 labelled spare Blacks=unused = spr outputs for map switch, launch.boost control or whatever
idlev= unused? up to you M8, I dont use an ICV at all.

If you get stuck Liam, double check the coil and inj are live with ignition, the rest is siple enough.

Dont go for "startup" until you've configured the TPS closed/open on MT screens( tools>calibrate TPS>get current>get current>burn to ECU>Save filename on laptop !

rpm should read 1 rpm without engine running, if you get no rpm display on cranking swop the red/blue wires over on the blk/yellow on the existing loom.

so i must connect this black wire from the ms loom to 2 pins from the motronic loom? the fuel pressurre pin and the dme pin?

i am going to pressume thats gnd negative terminal?!! but if not why isnt it grouped with the other earths?

i dont understand this bit but presume due to being to do with cranking that it means swap over the wires from the cps going to pin 47 and 48.

sorry for all the questions!!

the VR ouput is phazed , iirc red to yellow, and blue to black dude

DME and FP on pin 37 on MS, should be number 17 on the wire itself in white...

BIG guage black to battery negative terminal, this is the main MS ground, the others can be linked in here if you're wnating, the reason they are seperate is so if you wished you could run the grounds from the IAT,CLT and TPS back to MS on a seperate loom.

Gives you the option of a new loom, or using the old loom as you are doing.

provided all the gnd connections bell back to the body/negative terminal , you'll be sweet

i dont get the red to yellow annd blue to black?

on my thick grey ms loom wire it is a screened blue and red wire - blue to pin 47 and red to pin 48 - if i get no rpm at cranking i am to change red to 48 and blue to 47? i dont know where black and blue will come into it for the vr? oh unless you mean if i am cutting the actual motronic loom? in which case no as i am soldering all my wires to an old ecu socket!

as for the dme that is pin 37 and fp relay is pin 3 - both of these must join to the wire on the megasquirt loom that is for fuel pressure relay?

then i think i am good to go!

as i said sorry for all the q's but i am trying to be careful!!

oh you were saying to mail you the 2.7 map as it is quite outdated - i tried mailing you at flatbars but i dont know if you are getting them?

Sorry dude, the yellow/black are the stock VR wires in the moronic loom, if you get no rpm, swop blue/red over on the pins and try again.

you can fuse the power supply to MS if you're wanting dude, 7.5A should do it.
