Did have heated seats in the sport, very good, I even used mine in the summer when I was having back problems, they are very good for bad backs!
I'm going to be fitting some to my M3 soon, I can get hold of an aftermarket kit for Ԛ£40.
I noticed you'd won the bidding on that interior on the IOW....well done!

Yes It was from whitee30, (chris) I belive mark you know him?
Needs a bit of a clean, but going to do that a bit later into the summer!
Don't think it was a bad price really in the end they seam to be pretty rare for 4 doors.

I've got them in my SE and I love them especially with the recent crap weather.
I used to have some black leather heated/electrically adjustable recaros from an Alfa 164 lusso.... Wish I kept them now I've got a car worthy of them.

Yeah, no problems, the kit comes with the elements and switvhes/wiring, but I only plan on using the elements, and using an original wiring loom and switches (Ԛ£21 eachZiggy wrote:Where from??? So how do you fit the elements then? Guess they go between the leather & the foam so you have to pull your seats apart?
How big are the elements too? Ie how much of the seat is heated?
& where dya get the kits from?! I want!!

I've got heated leather in the M3 but I noticed at the weekend that its only the passenger seat that works.
Any clues?

Does the switch light up? Check the wiring that runs to the seat from the hole in the carpet under the seat, it's common for the wring to get caught up and cut.adaM3 wrote:I've got heated leather in the M3 but I noticed at the weekend that its only the passenger seat that works.

Cheers Gwynley & Simon; thanks to this thread I now have heated seats! Which is a double bonus as it means the weather's guaranteed to stay warm for a while!

Another great use for heated seats, especially now the weathers picking up is to annoy the Mrs, stick her on a low heat, she won't notice for about half an hour, I did this yesterday - what fun.
